I came here to chew gum and review Return To Frogtown, and I’m all out of gum. Mutant frogs dressed as Afghan rebels ride around in jeeps protecting a territory called Frogtown. Rocket Ranger Jones (Lou Ferrigno) is captured and experimented on by the frog people, and it is up to Rocket Ranger Sam Hell (Robert Z’Dar) and Dr. Spangle (Denice Duff) to rescue him.
Not a huge budget available, the frog costumes range from green makeup to some latex masks. Has the feel of an A-Team episode. The two highlights are the puppet Czar Junior and the frog house band performing Meaner and Greener.
The big mystery of the film, there is a low-budget AI called F.U.Z.Z.Y. voiced by Rhonda Shear (USA Up All Night). What does that acronym stand for???
