Private school student Jennifer Baylor (Lisa Pelikan) is of meager means, on an academic scholarship while everyone else is hoity-toity rich. Jennifer has supernatural abilities involving snakes that manifested when she was a child. Her mom is gone but her very religious dad is only to happy to keep reminding Jennifer about her awesome power that the girl gladly wants to forget about and move forward with a normal life.
There’s a clique of girls who pick on Jennifer, but their leader Sandra (Amy Johnston) is particularly horrible to her. Sandra is over-the-top, flat out psychotic but is coddled by the school’s head administrator because her daddy is a senator. The conflict between Sandra and Jennifer builds to a climax that is actually pretty satisfying (if low budget) and very predictable at the same time (particularly for anyone who knows anything the movie Carrie).
