SPOILERS AHEAD: This movie made me so mad. I may need to stop watching sci-fi movies involving human encounters with aliens.
A group of researchers check out the remains of an old alien civilization on another planet, and find out the hard way life isn’t fully extinct yet. An alien rapes crew member Sandy (Judy Geeson), transferring its intelligence into her mind and giving her super strength (and a mile-wide violent streak). She tears through the survivors one-by-one, feeding on them for nutrition to give birth to alien babies.
The supposed scientists do everything wrong in a wretched attempt to stay alive, and it becomes a farce by the end. No group is as dumb as this when thrown into a dangerous situation!!
Definitely borrows from 1979’s Alien and some slasher elements of a Friday the 13th entry. Despite a low budget, I will give it a little credit for making the most of the sets and props they had to work with, and for Geeson’s creepy psychological transformation, achieved with minimal makeup effects plus her acting chops.
