Slasher movie where they give away the killer’s identity at the beginning, so the mystery element is kaput. High school track star Laura Ramstead (Ruth Ann Llorens) collapses and dies during a meet, and sister Anne (Patch Mackenzie) arrives two months later to collect some of her belongings.
Anne’s arrival coincides with a string of murders of other members of the school’s track team. Is she the killer? Nope. Is it weird that a bunch of kids are going missing in a small town at the same time, and there is very little police presence to investigate? Apparently not in this movie. Just kids being kids!
This movie made a good profit for the studio, due to its low budget. It is notable for early screen appearances by Vanna White and Linnea Quigley. Not my cup of tea, but if you like early 80’s slasher movies, by all means, give it a look.
