The Marcy brothers (aka Failureboys) have put together an under-rated slasher thriller where the focus is back on the terror of anticipation and not the killer’s backstory or supernatural shenanigans. No big blood splatters, heads split in half, spears coming out through the mouth, etc. Just a good old-fashioned realistic hunt and kill shown almost entirely from the perspective of the isolated campers (twenty- and thirty-somethings). It also ends differently than most of the movies do, which was refreshing.

Would like to see what else this team can put together in the future.

I give it 2 out of 4 paws: lion paw lion paw
