Very silly spoof of 60’s and 70’s horror movies, featuring some well-known British TV actors of the time, and the always entertaining Vincent Price as an ancient evil robed cult leader.
Eight paranormal researchers investigate a manor house where multiple murders took place several years earlier, led by Dr. Lukas Mandeville (Kenny Everett) and his assistant Dr. Barbara Coyle (Pamela Stephenson). I won’t spoil the plot, but imagine a movie like Murder By Death or Clue but with evil cult members lurking about, and you get the general idea.
Vincent Price has a couple of very funny monologues, but not much else stands out. There isn’t enough screen time for the supporting cast to do much, and Everett has a weird “mad German scientist” schtick his character pops into that gets old very quickly.
