Roger, Tommy, and Vera are siblings in a rural area with their widowed mother Beth — widowed thanks to Beth’s Satan-worshipping father killing her husband on Halloween years ago. Grandpa (Hy Pyke) is grooming Tommy to join his cult of devil worshippers, and the ill-tempered, socially-withdrawn, heavy-metal-loving young man seems like a perfect fit.
Vera is set on fixing her deputy bro Roger up with her best friend Amanda (Katina Garner) as all the teens prep for the annual Halloween party. A mysterious demon-masked killer starts taking out the teenagers one by one. It must be Tommy! Can he be stopped before he kills again?
Combining a little bit of slasher horror, the occult, and teen sex romp, the end result just isn’t that tasty. At the party there is a guy doing a standup comic routine that is probably only ninety seconds long but feels like nine minutes. There are other sequences that just seem like filler to get the runtime longer, like Tommy’s heavy metal dream sequence in the first act.
