Police in a small Italian village are baffled by the violent murders of young boys. Three likely suspects turn out to be red herrings. One of these, sexy and free-spirited Patrizia (Barbara Bouchet) eventually teams up with reporter Martelli (Tomas Milian) to do their own sleuthing.
Director Lucio Fulci wisely focuses on Bouchet, the most charismatic character. The story tries to introduce some occult elements to mixed results, and the victims being young boys is somehow supposed to be edgy for this time period. Like other Italian murder mysteries of this period, there is a piece of a good movie here, but the resolution just left my noodle a little limp.
