This was the perfect intersection of Wesley Snipes’ career arc, vampires, comic book characters, 90’s EDM, and martial arts! There are some janky special effects at the end, but the one-liners make up for it. Like Underworld (2003), very rewatchable and doesn’t ask your brain to work too hard to keep up. Dark cinematography (most scenes at night), so watch on a screen with good contrast. Blade works as an action movie, as a vampire movie, and as a comic book movie. Definitely worth checking out.
